We’re big fans of the taxi ride share app UBER & there’s a good chance it could come back to Vancouver. Unfortunately, the City of Vancouver enacted a six-month moratorium on Uber’s operations in the city in response to pressure from the taxi industry.
The petition on Uber’s website urges Vancouver City Council and the provincial government’s Passenger Transportation Board and Ministry of Transportation to reverse their policies and allow the smartphone app to connect local passengers with drivers & is getting closer to its goal of 30,000 signatures.
So when you’re waiting for a cab this weekend out & about at our venues, think about how much more convenient life would be if we had this awesome app in our lives. Stand up for choice in Vancouver and sign the petition — because a bold and innovative city like Vancouver deserves Uber – Sign the petition HERE! #VancUBER
