Blueprint Welcomes Vancouver Nightlife Icon Barry Rabold To The Blueprint Family!
Blueprint is pleased to announce an exciting addition to their team. Barry Rabold, an established Vancouver nightlife and hospitality veteran, joins the company as Cultural Director.
Barry has eighteen years of creating memorable and detail oriented experiences for Vancouver’s party people under his belt, making him a welcome and natural fit within the Blueprint lifestyle model. He will serve to leverage Blueprint’s continued commitment to a higher service standard.
Barry’s hire comes on the heels of a long-standing and close friendship with Blueprint’s company heads, Alvaro Prol, Bill Kerasiotis and Chris Kerasiotis. First meeting Alvaro in 1996 at the first underground party Alvaro had ever hosted during the onset of his career, the two became fast friends. Over time the friendship developed and a healthy respect for one another’s work was born. With their shared vision for the best nightlife experiences and their drive for success, there was no better time to join forces.
Alvaro explains, “Growing up in the industry together we have always been close, so it’s a highlight for me to now be able to align our passions to do incredible work together. We are always excited to welcome brilliant professionals to our team. We are thrilled to have him as a part of the family.”
Beginning his journey in the nightclub industry in the 1990’s handing out flyers, Barry Rabold quickly harnessed his passion to catapult himself forward. Wanting to show his love of underground house music to the masses, Barry promoted various nights and after-hours, growing his portfolio to include numerous clubs in Vancouver and North Vancouver and creating a loyal customer following through his personal approach.
In 2000, Barry took a chance on something completely outside of the regular Vancouver club scene. He launched his bi-monthly Pleisure event at the iconic Waldorf Hotel, which garnered a huge response and following from those in the electronic music scene and set a new precedent for underground nights in the city. In 2002, Barry began at Ginger 62 and launched his run as managing partner for the club, where he was able to showcase his passion for attention to detail and hospitality, amassing him recognition and awards amongst his peers. The success enabled him to simultaneously spread his wings to Victoria, where he opened Smiths Pub and Argyle Attic. Barry’s drive and unwavering determination fuel his desire to continue to find ways to energize the industry.
Now at Blueprint, Barry brings his refined knowledge and familiarity within the nightlife scene to the team, and plans to focus on providing club goers a consistent and customer-centric experience. He believes a balance of great musical talent and unbounded guest service is the key to success and with Blueprint’s commitment to bringing the best talent to Vancouver, the opportunity to be a part of the company’s growing family was a natural progression.
Barry shares, “I’m very excited to be joining Blueprint and this driven team of tight-knit individuals. It’s a thrill to be involved in the process as the company continues to do bigger and better things and expand to provide the best in nightlife and lifestyle driven experiences.”
A cocktail enthusiast, you can find Barry out in the city visiting Vancouver’s burgeoning distilleries or simply enjoying a classic gin cocktail. As for his musical tastes, much like his work, he loves a bit of everything and is constantly changing it up to keep things fresh.
