Western Canada’s largest indoor music festival returns to BC Place over two-days with the biggest names in electronic music

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA—(September 26, 2014): Blueprint, in partnership with Live Nation Canada, is excited to announce the full artist line-up and details for the city’s most anticipated electronic music event of the year: CONTACT Winter Music Festival. Now in its third year running as a two-day event (on December 26th and December 27th), CONTACT 2014 will return to BC Place- offering its highest level of production yet, including two stages and an exciting international line up- placing the festival on a truly international scale.
Since 2012, CONTACT has grown from a single day electronic music event to become Western Canada’s largest and most talked about two-day stadium event. Garnering attendance of over 23,000+ dance music enthusiasts, CONTACT 2013 broke Vancouver’s all time social media record by sharing a staggering 10,000 photos & interactions over two-days, which featured headlining acts Skrillex, Kaskade, Dada Life, and Diplo. With the ambition of topping the caliber and demand of artists from 2013, this years’ line-up is anticipated to make even bigger waves across the Pacific Northwest, boasting a stacked roster of the world’s most coveted DJs and producers.
Guests of this year’s CONTACT Festival will be blown away by performances from headliners Armin van Buuren and Zedd, with support from Gramatik, Griz, W&W, Nervo, Showtek, Morgan Page, Kaytranada, TJR, What So Not, Thomas Jack, Lunice & more, ramping up the marathon celebrations. In addition to this, CONTACT 2014 will see a second, inclosed separate stage allowing the festival to expand to a more diverse program of music.
For Blueprint, CONTACT 2014 will continue pushing boundaries & expectations to grow the electronic music scene in Western Canada. Alvaro Prol of Blueprint, who acts as the head organizer and talent buyer for CONTACT shares, “It’s amazing to see the growth and success of CONTACT just over two years. From its inaugural year in 2012, where 12,000+ people attended, to last year, which marked a huge milestone as were able to expand CONTACT to a 2-day festival and double in attendance.

Held at BC Place, CONTACT Winter Music Festival is known for the high degree of production and advanced technology the venue provides. In addition to the captivating light show guests of the festival experience within the venue, CONTACT 2013 saw BC Place light up the city to the beat of the music on its exterior panels. CONTACT 2014 is expected to even further wow city residents and concertgoers alike.

The December 26th and 27th event will be open to all ages, and will feature VIP areas for attendees who are 19 and older carrying ID. Doors open at 5pm each day, with acts running until midnight. Tickets will go on pre-sale for AMEX cardholders on Wednesday, October 1st at 10am. Early bird passes are limited in supply, and tickets range from $125 to $175 for a 2-day festival pass. Public festival passes go on sale starting Friday, October 3rd at 11AM. VIP festival passes will also be available at $250.00 for a 2-day pass.
