Suffer The Children aims to raise awareness with Mr Officer

Suffer The Children is an experimental band that was created by three friends in a basement studio in Vancouver’s Gastown. The music they create is unafraid to stand out, no matter how big or how small the sound.

The group, who played an opening set at this year’s FVDED in the Park music festival, recently released a song titled “Mr Officer” in dedication to the memory of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and the thousands of other black lives lost due to racial injustice.

“We would like to pay our respects to all the families who are mourning at this time; last week was a devastating blow to the black community. Because we were deeply affected by these events, we wanted to lift our voices to raise awareness in the name of freedom and empowerment and we encourage you to do the same. Say love.” – Suffer The Children
