Today’s announcement of adding six more to the mix for the Squamish Valley Music Festival 2014 has us left in anticipation for August. This now increases the 2014 lineup to over 65+ performers about to descend into the Sea-To-Sky territory; both local & International. Read up & get familiar with what’s to come for #VMSQUAMISH!:
Hailing from down under, Australian DJ/producer Tommy Trash has made quite a name for himself since his break onto the scene back in 2007. He has since released music on a variety of labels including mau5trap and Fool’s Gold, and has even managed to earn the number one spot on Beatport twice in a row. With an impressive resume of music under his belt as well as an unmistakable air of energy around him, adding him to the Squamish mix after his sold out Seasons Fest 2014/Stereotype Fridays set was a no brainer.
Holding it down as one of our own resident DJ’s for the past few years, Expendable Youth (aka Matt Owchar) has come to be known and respected for his love & mastery of club music that spans every imaginable genre, international border & tempo. The Mad Decent signee is bound to bring that same energy he’s known for across our venues in Vancouver come August.
My Gay Husband! (aka Jason Sulyma) has been a figure around Vancity since way back as both a DJ and a promoter – Notably his weekend fave night “Glory Days” at The Biltmore Cabaret. Squamish seems like the perfect fit for him & we’re excited to see what he brings to the fold.
SJS – SLOW JAM SUNDAYS
Its Vancity’s favorite baby-making music night, aka Slow Jam Sundays featuring local vets Marlon J. English, Aaron Dudley, Ariel Swan & Patrick P. Luv. Selling out long weekends with one-off locations (remember the Commodore with 90’s RnB fave Ginuwine?), this is one addition to Squamish 2014 that is bound to get that bump n grind on.
