Tell us a bit about yourself Beth.
BR – Not sure what to say but that I feel really lucky to do what I love everyday.
How would you describe your brand in three words?
BR – Quality Modern Swimwear
A lot of your pieces can be worn for swimwear or casual wear. What would be your running late, put on something quick go-to piece and why?
BR – Probably the Knot Dress, which was last summers go-to. Or a classic one pc like the Agnes or Grace that could we worn with denim or leather.
If you could have any spokeswoman/celebrity for your swimwear (living or not), who would it be and why?
BR – Hmmm there are a few but she’s chic like Brigitte Bardot, cool like Kate Moss and effortless like Jane Birkin.
You’ve lived in Vancouver for a while now; do you have a specific place you go to find inspiration for your collections?
BR – I would say that Tofino is my happy-place. I love going to wreck beach too (no drum circles please), although clothing is optional it really encompasses the spirit of Summer. I love travelling in general and try to as often as possible as it always informs my design process.
Besides on www.bethrichards.com, where can people purchase your stunning pieces?
BR – Our stockists are ever evolving, but they include Le Bon Marche in Paris, Lane Crawford in Asia, Shopbop, Revolve, Tsum in Russia, Selfridges in the UK but check bethrichards.com for updates.
