KNOWSHOW, Canada’s go-to tradeshow for the action sport-lifestyle and fashion industry, returned to the Vancouver Convention Centre January 14th to 16th for another season of buying, mingling, and fun. Oh, and the show also celebrated its decade-long business tenure—no big deal or anything.
KNOWSHOW has long been a central semi-annual gathering point connecting Canadian retailers and media with lifestyle and fashion brands—the beginning of the buying process, with the end result being what consumers see in retail stores and on websites. Those Native Shoes and Herschel backpacks you’ve been eyeing up; that L*Space fringe bikini and BB Dakota coat; the K2 snowboards, Spitfire wheels, and Urban Ears headphones—how did they end up at your favourite local skate/snowboard/apparel shop? Yup, it all started here, where buyers view samples from the upcoming season (in this case, Fall/Winter 2015) and place their orders to hit retail stores months later, ready for customers to walk in and purchase.
This is the magic that KNOWSHOW has delivered for the last ten years. Now, with the KNOWMAG in tow, supplemented with an app for your smart phone to help navigate the mammoth show and more after-parties than ever, KNOWSHOW’s 10-year-old force is one to be reckoned with.
