PechaKucha Night, now in over 700 cities, was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. The idea was first put forward by two young architects who sought a way to use multiple concise and fast-paced presentations in order to inspire and invigorate a particular local community—the event was called PechaKucha Night.
A mere year later PechaKucha began to catch on in a number of European cities eager to embrace a bold new medium for sharing ideas. Flash forward to 2015 and hundreds of cities now curate PechaKucha nights as a unique way to focus in on local communities and gather creative minds across countless fields in order to share their passion and vision for a more cohesive future. Ultimately, PechaKucha is a place to share your thoughts, come together in unison, and have a good time.
From Abbotsford’s New Frontiers PechaKucha Night, the sixth in their series, to Vancouver’s countless themes including local business improvement and Cause+Effect, among thirty four others; PechaKucha is a bourgeoning global cultural cornerstone. Tonight at the Vogue Theatre PechaKucha embarks on Vol. 36: PechaKucha The Musical from the people who produce, disperse and study the music in our lives.
Join some of Vancouver’s most creative musical minds as they share their love for musicality, their inspiration, and the undying power of a breathtaking musical sound scape. As part of the night’s proceedings we at Blueprint are proud to announce that our Principal, Alvaro Prol will be one of the presenters making us all proud and sharing his story and drive for creating the company and musical offerings we have all come to know and love. Also, don’t miss the nights must hear musical stylings with musical performances by NaQsh, HUMANS and Grammy-winner Chin Injeti. Tickets for this evening available via pechakuchanightvancouver.com
