JOB DESCRIPTION
Blueprint is seeking a Marketing Assistant Intern who will assist lead marketers on a variety of social media tasks and digital marketing campaigns. Learn and expand you skills in Western Canad’s largest entertainment and hospitality group!

DURATION: 3 months with possibility of hire
HOURS: P/T – 16 hours per week | 4 hours per day Monday to Thursday | 11am – 3pm (flexible)
LOCATION: Gastown
START DATE: August 1, 2017 – October 31, 2017

REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the use of a personal computer and phone: Mac and iPhone are recommended. Must have background/education in Marketing and basic knowledge of Photoshop as well as any video editing software such as iMovie, Final Cut or Adobe Premier. Experience in copy-writing or creative writing is encouraged. This position is very fast paced with a high need for fast learning, good time management and multi-tasking skills.

DUTIES

Website Housekeeping:

  • Editing text changes or additions
  • Replacing artwork
  • Adding banners

Facebook:

  • Populating Facebook Page walls with artist and community content
  • Populating Event Page walls with relevant content
  • Answering messages on Pages
  • Creation of Facebook Ads

Instagram:

  • Finding visual content (photos and videos) to post as dictated by the Lead Marketer’s weekly calendar. These posts will be moderated and approved by Lead Marketer.
  • Uploading videos onto the IG Stories weekly to each account
  • Learning how to use Instagress to increase followers on each account

Video Editing:

  • Creating short videos from artist music videos or other relevant content for posting and ads
  • Using Photoshop skills to create custom text graphics onto video content

Misc:

  • Creating Press Releases and sending out weekly emails to our media databases
  • Following weekly community events and suggesting events that correlate to our own events for flyering and poster distribution purposes
  • Festival property support
  • Newsletter creation and copy-writing
  • Reaching out to local blogs for interviews or show reviews

* Duties are flexible and can change depending on the season.
